About

Alessandro Berio is a technologist, designer, writer and film-maker. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, he lived most of his life in Los Angeles where he graduated with Cumma Sum Laude from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts.

He founded Artillery Unit, a design agency that catered to clients such as 20th Century Fox, Disney, and the Grammy’s. He was also co-founder of Brazilian mobile company, M1ND, which developed cutting-edge mobile solutions for clients such as Nike, TIM, Globo, UFC and others.

By the age of 24, he created the world’s first location-based mobile massively-multiplayer RPG, Alien Revolt.

Alessandro also comes from a family of artists. His maternal grandfather was 20th century composer, Luciano Berio, and his grandmother was mezzo-soprano Cathy Berberian. His paternal grandfather was Jece Valadão, and his great uncle was Brazil’s greatest playwright, Nelson Rodrigues.

Alessandro is currently working on a new technology startup. His interests includes egyptology and skateboarding.
